Hundreds of families participated in Anamosa’s Downtown Spook Parade and Treats in the Streets evening of Oct. 16. Parade participants lined up at Main and Garnavillo streets at 5 p.m., and the parade officially began at 5:30 p.m., featuring children and adults showing off their creative Halloween costumes.
Following the parade, local businesses handed out candy, snacks, and other treats along the streets, keeping the festive spirit going for families and trick-or-treaters. The free, family-friendly event offered a fun-filled afternoon of Halloween celebration for all ages and was hosted by the Anamosa Chamber of Commerce.
