Local Fourth of July festivities

Anamosa

• Fireworks Celebration: Thursday, July 3, from 6-10 p.m. at Downing Field. Featuring a food stand, children's activities, and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Rain Date: July 4.

• Anamosa Ridiculous Days: Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5, Downtown Anamosa

• Ridiculous Days Hot Dog Eating Contest: Friday, July 4 at 4:30 p.m., 203 E. Main Street, Anamosa.

• Ridiculous Days Car, Truck and Bike Show: Saturday, July 5, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., downtown Anamosa.

Monticello

• Fourth of July Parade at Noon in Downtown Monticello, Friday, July 4th.

• Fireworks at Dusk.

Oxford Junction

• Annual Fourth of July Celebration, held Friday, July 4th, at Wapsi Park starting at 10:30 a.m. to dusk, featuring a kids’ tractor pull, bingo, kids' waterball fights, and more. Parade at 4 p.m.; line up at Midland Elementary School at 3 p.m.

• Fireworks show begins at dusk.
