Arts Court Visual and Performance held a community street dance from 3-9 p.m. this past Sunday, Aug. 31, in front of the old Collins Building they plan to renovate for an arts and culture venue in Anamosa at 107 N Garnavillo St. The winner of the 50/50 raffle donated their winnings back, so it raised $505 for the project alone. There were arts, crafts, and food vendors, as well as activities for kids, along with a beer garden near the stage where area musicians Skeeter Lewis All-Stars, Acoustic Jack, and the Kevin Burt Trio performed. The next Arts Court fundraiser will be their annual haunted house next month.
