Four Groups from Anamosa Host Memorial Day Services

Four Anamosa groups hosted a Memorial Day Service at the Jones County Court House May 25 and moved to the Riverside Cemetery for a more in-depth service. The four groups were the Teufelhund Veterans Group, American Legion Post 13, VFW 4077, and AmVets. A brief history of Memorial Day and the salute was presented, followed by a reading of the poem, Flanders Field, a laying of a wreath on the Unknown Soldier's grave, the playing of Taps, and a gun salute.
